WHO THIS WORK MIGHT SUIT?
I am most likely for people who want to be a bridge from having the confidence to be able to train well at their local gym, ensure they are always improving their form, bridge to be able to train at higher capacities in more demanding environments like a Muay Thai training camp in Thailand. Will you always be prepared 100%? OF COURSE NOT, but you can put in some methodologies to put yourself in the best position possible to be able to train well without injuries and burning out.
People who want to:
Improve there technique
Discover drills and exercises to hone their technique
Understand why their movement is the way it is
How to adjust and fix certain movements to enable better technique hence allowing more precision, power and speed
Want a bridge from where they might be to being able to consistently train at a high level without burning out
Want a bridge to be able to train in Thailand so you can maximise your stay in Thailand (I’ve seen a lot of foreigners go to Thailand that end up training 2-3 times a week over a 2 - 4 week stay and not get the most out of their stay because they just feel so sore, I can prepare you through my work and programs so that you are ready for it to get the most out of it)
People that are registered and signed up to a gym but may not be getting the 1-on-1 coaching and attention at the gym
The 1-on-1 coaching from the gym could be financially burdensome or the coaches there are too busy with there fight team (I totally get this and understand this)
Those that want to figure out why they still can’t move fluidly in certain ways to throw a teep, knee, kick, punch, elbow.
Those that want to go back to basics & fundamentals even if they are doing well (I truly believe we all have technique that we can improve on unless you are a 200+ fight Thai! Your probably well equipped on the basics!)
Want extra support on top of their normal gym and regular coaching team - I am a SUPPLEMENTARY COACH to your regular coaching team NOT A REPLACEMENT. Your coaches at your gym are the best people to give you most of what you need, I add to it. I can give you some extra looks and pointers on various aspects
Who want to discuss mental and emotional aspects of Muay Thai & Kickboxing
Who want to improve understand that to improve takes time and intentional action.
Who want to have fun in the process! Have a laugh and not take it so seriously! This is why the Thai’s are so good what they do!
And beginners who are starting their Martial Arts journey in Muay Thai & Kickboxing!
WHO THIS IS NOT FOR?
Who want to look “cool” - I’m not really about that. If you want to learn how to do spinning back kicks, spinning reverse elbows, the superman punches - then I'm not the right coach for you. I love this stuff but I just don’t believe this is basis of learning. This can be added later when the foundations have been set.
Who don’t want to learn - I don’t know everything about Muay Thai & Kickboxing, I don’t think anybody does but I have learnt and applied enough to be able to help someone grow in some of those areas. Your committment to learning is the most important.
Who want the quick fixes - I believe in taking the time to learn techniques and it will only work when you are fully committed to improving that change can occur. But if you believe in quick fixes then I am not your coach. It can take a short amount of time or a long amount of time, it depends.
Who want to just fight and not willing to take the time to learn - poor form can be dangerous and people can get hurt. I don’t anyone to get hurt but I know this is an aspect of the Martial Art that I can never avoid but I can provide coaching to help you mitigate this as much as possible.
Who believe they have all the answers and are better than me. I will be the first to say I don’t know something when I do not know it. Do I have 100 fights under my belt? NO, but what I do have is consistency, turning up, being on time, committment, respect, basic foundations and a desire to educate myself. Martial Arts humbles me, there is so much for me to learn and if you believe you are better than me, I will be the first to say.
Who are looking for a replacement to your coach at your current gym or your local gym unless they are terrible!
If you are an ELITE / HIGH LEVEL Muay Thai or Kickboxing Fighter - I’m more like the guy that can help guys and girls that are maybe on their path of becoming ELITE / HIGH LEVEL Fighters / Athletes or on the path to wanting to train like an elite / high level fighter / athlete.
